I have the aforementioned problem...doesn't do annihilation BUT I think it is the Motorcar Recollect MMS and also while ROAMING since I am 1200 miles away from my habitation area, so (MetroPCS) is roaming vocalism/text/1Xdata on Sprint but when outside become 4G data (T-Mobile), so my model S3 has to switch back and forth between carriers (Dart & T-Mobile)
So it is not harming anything but a footling annoying, only I will "build a bridge and get the f*** over information technology"......

Hey I didn't read to the bitter terminate of this just I tin can tell you why I become this mistake. Is your telephone rooted? I get it because my phone is looking for updates. The first time information technology happened was when my telephone was rooted and they were pushing the update to jellybean. So I had to united nations root, dl the update to 4.1.2 and then I never re-rooted, well I merely rerooted today and guess what bulletin is back!? I haven't worked on it even so but just wanted to say it could be this outcome of your carrier pinging for machine updates.

I had the same download error issue and I causeless its i of the apps I recently installed chosen "shut up button" and since I have uninstalled that app I haven't seen the error message. Promise this helps.

my samsung galaxy s4 screen wont respond .. get a msg saying currently unable to download try after, i cant get into my phone... it rings and msg come throught, just cant get past home screen aid

You could try booting into Safe fashion and see if you're able to access the telephone. It's possible that some app y'all recently installed is causing the trouble.

To boot into Safe manner:
- turn the phone completely off
- press and agree the Volume Down rocker (and keep property it)
- press the Ability button until you experience the phone vibrate (unremarkably 2-three seconds)
- keep holding the Volume Downward rocker until the phone finishes booting
You'll meet 'Prophylactic mode' in the lower left corner

Hi, I had this issue. I solved information technology by deleting all my sms messages/threads. The only time I'd ever received this message, prior to the update, was when I was sent a mms message. Inthat example the mms was never downloaded, and I deleted the message. I think, somehow during the update, the attempt to download this mms was reignited. Since deleting all sms/mms messages/threads I've not had this alert. I hope this helps. Thanks.

Solved! I had the same problem. There was a mms that I had not downloaded, I deleted the message and bingo... no more annoying "currently unable to download" notifications.
Cheers guys, wouldn't take sussed it without y'all :-)

I had the same problem. Deleting the message thread with the trouble image fixed it.

I figured it out!! To rectify the problem permanently, get to your message settings and under MMS settings deselect auto-retrieve

I take had also the same trouble since concluding two week and then i noticed that what happened when this error is poping up over again and again i noticed that when i recive a picture message in inbox i hateful in text message information technology says download and i can't encounter the image after that whenever i turn on my Wifi this mistake pops upward you lot should better delete all your inbox letters yous may also get one of that picture message that is trying to download. i hope this volition piece of work it worked for me.

Later on having trouble with kodi on my android box I decided to manufactory reset I am now unable to download kodi from my browser?? Anyone that can help please

This answer worked for me! I noticed I had an incoming bulletin with an attachment that hadn't been downloaded, but was expired. Deleted the message -- sadly, I couldn't grab the file kickoff -- and I no longer go that extremely annoying error.

No demand for factory reset.

I as well face the aforementioned problem and I fixed it by;

i. Go to SMS settings.
2. Select Multimedia Letters
3. Uncheck the Automobile Recollect Option

Hope information technology will piece of work :-)

How-do-you-do everybody!

I have got the same problem like y'all for 1 week and I finally establish what was wrong.

These are some pictures that someone sent me by MMS which the cell phone couldn't download. Why? In my case, it is a French telephone, so I disabled the mobile information considering I am currently in the US.

The mobile phone requires data to download the pictures, non the Wi-Fi. this is why I got everytime this tiring bulletin : "Currently unable to download. Please try again later."
And so I deleted the MMS I received in the thread.

I hope it'll do the aforementioned for you guys.

i checked, it's not an OTA Update. if it is , he would ask u to download now or afterward. it's A GPS. trying to get info of ure location.
cuz 1 min after this GPS popup.

Hey Guys,

I just wanted to share my experience with you all and hope it will be helpful. I have Note three updated to lollipop just I believe all Android phones are similar.

First of all ANDROID IS CRAZY "Literally", you will not empathise when the problem will happen to your phone and how to fix it, specially that the problems may be interrelated, and one fix may not exist enough until you know actually what is wrong with your phone.

Now to the subject, my phone was getting this "unable to download" error message, so same time suddenly from no where I become an error on the notification menu "sign-in asking" with Gallery Picture beside it, and when I click on this bulletin it requests to log in with Picasa and so all google applications disappear from the phone, and when I go within "Apps" (on the bottom right of your telephone desktop) I found them disappeared from the inner folders of Google, and then suddenly out of no where all apps get redistributed over the pages within Apps and Google Apps return dorsum again distributed besides. All of this besides when I was restarting the phone it was taking around five minutes to open phone'south desktop.

To fix the to a higher place I made Wipe data and manufactory reset more than than five times in 2 days with no result.

So after some search I did the below fixing (afterward one more manufacturing plant rest):
one- Went to Settings - "Full general" Tab - Accounts - Google then click on the e-mail abreast the Sync symbol, then curlicue to the cease of the page and uncheck "Sync Picasa Spider web Albums".
2- Went to Settings - "Full general" Tab - scroll down to About Device - click on Software updates then uncheck "Wi-Fi but". (Of course this is going to accuse if not subscribed to mobile data packet).
iii- Went to Messages - click on bill of fare - Settings - Multimedia messages, then uncheck Automobile recall.
4- Activate "Mobile Data" from notification menu and disable Wi-Fi.
v- Restart the Telephone.

All of the above fixed my issues, but again we take to remember, Android is crazy, at least for me.
